EIT CLIMATE-KIC ‘JOURNEY’ Summer School – A running documentary about sustainable fisheries

July 22, 2021 Communications

The ‘Journey’ summer school organisers in Malta invite you to an online documentary screening and panel discussion on Tuesday 27 July on the topic of sustainable fisheries in the Mediterranean.

Do you want to learn more about sustainable fisheries and how to protect our marine environment? As part of the ‘Journey’ summer school, a public evening programme will show two short local documentaries on fisheries: ‘Kannizzati Fishing’ and ‘The Giant Deep Reds’, produced by local documentary makers Chris and Maurice Micallef. After the documentary screenings a panel discussion will follow, with opportunity for the audience to ask questions and engage in the discussion. The panel is made up of:

  • Film maker Chris Micallef,
  • Alicia Bugeja Said, Fisheries Advisor within the Ministry for Agriculture, Fisheries, Food and Animal Rights, and
  • Alexia Massa-Gallucci, Senior Scientific Consultant at AquaBioTech Group.

Anyone interested to join the online documentary screening and panel discussion on Tuesday 27 July from 19:30-21:30 can register here [see full link included below].
