The programme featured keynote presentations, interactive workshops, and collaborative round tables focusing on scientific writing, proposal development for external funding, and the role of organisational culture in promoting safer medication practices. Approximately 100 undergraduate and postgraduate students and around 50 academics participated across the sessions.

A highlight of the seminar was the 15 October session, “The Role of Organisational Culture in Medication Safety”, which brought together diverse healthcare stakeholders. This pivotal day explored how communication, hierarchy, and collaboration shape safe practices, featuring in-depth presentations and networking opportunities among participants.

SafeMeds reflects MCAST’s strong commitment to advancing research, education, and inter-institutional collaboration, thus, promoting a culture for safer medication practices across healthcare settings.
