Brief Description of organisation

CMEA’s mission is “a better life for people with epilepsy in Malta.” We are a 100% volunteer association. We are also affiliated with the Internatioal Bureau for Epilepsy and have members who work on a European level for epilepsy advocacy. We hold bi-monthly member’s meetings, and trainings for police, teachers, LSEs, parents, caregivers, people with epilepsy and others. We also use media to help people learn more about epilepsy and lessen the stigma that is often associated with this hidden condition. Another aspect of our work is to advocate with the government for needed changes in regards to medications and treatment.
