Brief Description of organisation

Fondazzjoni Arka was set up in the year 2000, with the aim of giving permanent and respite care to persons with disabilities. To date we care for 20 permanent residents and “Dar l-Arka” and 10 permanent residents in 2 Independent Living Apartments, 5 in each apartment. Our carers do the feeding and the washing and all that is necessary for our clients to help them live a good life and integrate in society as far as possible. Fondazzjoni Arka is situated in Ghajnsielem, a stonethrow away from MCAST and very close to Mgarr Ferry Terminal.

Type of community work that can be offered to our students

Students are welcome to do community work with our institution. We offer them hands on experience related to their field of study. Depending on their level of study, they can perform duties like washings, feeding or laying the beds. We will also help them gain experience for their future work life.
