Thirty-one graduation ceremonies will be held, celebrating the success of students who followed courses ranging from MQF Level 1 entry-level certification to MQF Level 7 Master’s Degrees. The ceremonies will run until 6 December 2024. A total of 2,964 students are expected to celebrate their success throughout the coming weeks. Speaking during the official opening of the graduation ceremonies, MCAST Principal and CEO Stephen Vella said, “You have invested your time, energy and passion in your education, and it’s now time to take those lessons into the world. As you leave this institution, remember that your education has equipped you with knowledge and skills to think critically and act compassionately.” He encouraged students “to dream big, act boldly and create a future that reflects their values and aspirations. The world needs your voice, ideas and passion.”
Addressing Creative Arts graduates, Bachelor in Performing Arts graduate Gianluca Bianco said, “We are not just artists; we are storytellers, creators and innovators. Sometimes, we are viewed as more hobbyists rather than real professionals, but we know our work has a powerful impact. We have the power to inspire change and make society reflect on itself. The world needs the arts, and we must show that what we do is essential and to make our contributions understood and respected.”
Ceremonies will be held for graduates from all Institutes, including the Institute of Engineering and Transport (IET), the Institute of Applied Sciences (IAS), the Institute of Community Services (ICS), the Institute of Information and Communication Technology (IICT), the Institute for the Creative Arts (ICA), the Institute of Business Management, and Commerce (IBMC) and the Gozo Campus.
