On day two of the prestigious Malta Fashion Week, students from the Malta College of Arts, Science & Technology (MCAST) Institute for the Creative Arts (ICA) unveiled their latest collections in a dazzling display of talent and creativity.

This eagerly anticipated event lasts five days and culminates in the Malta Fashion Week and Awards held annually in Valletta. The Malta Fashion Week and Awards organisers supported the opportunity for BA (Hons.) in Fashion students to showcase their collections during this event.

The show marked the culmination of a year’s dedication and hard work by these aspiring designers. Guided by their fashion lecturers, the students meticulously crafted unique collections that reflected their individual styles and creative visions. Each piece was a testament to their innovative concept ideas, developments and skills, ranging from avant-garde creations to ready-to-wear garments.

During the event, six MCAST ICA graduates, namely, Gabriel Grima, Yentl Cuschieri, Isaac Fenech, Radina Nikolova, Nicolai Sciuto and Miriana Ciappara, had the opportunity to present various garments on the catwalk. These students channelled their inner feelings, transforming them into deeply personal and artistically profound designs. Their collections highlighted the versatility and creativity fostered by MCAST’s fashion and design department, leaving the audience captivated and inspired.

The students participating in this event have also been nominated for Saturday’s prestigious New Up and Coming Designer Award. This night is a testimonial and recognition of their potential and impressive work in the creative fashion industry.
