The Malta College of Arts, Science, and Technology (MCAST) is participating in the Public Service Expo 2024 from 14 to 19 May at the MFCC in Ta’ Qali. Together with other institutions, MCAST is hosted on the Education Ministry stand, which focuses on twenty-first-century skills.
MCAST representatives participating in the Expo had the chance to meet and greet prospective students at the MCAST information booth set on the Ministry for Education, Sport, Youth, Research and Innovation stand. Attendees were provided information about studying at MCAST, various courses, the application process, apprenticeships, and educational routes for career advancement and progression.
Principal and CEO Professor Joachim James Calleja was a guest speaker in the EXPO panel discussion on Skills and Career Development. The discussion, attended by public service employees from various sectors, focused on the evolving needs of the public service sector and the skills required for career advancement.
College officials shared information about the college’s creativity and digital innovation initiatives, which aim to enhance the student learning process and advance in new directions and with new methodologies.
The Public Service Expo serves as a dynamic platform, bringing together various government ministries, entities, and departments under one roof and offering attendees a comprehensive glimpse into the workings of the wider public administration.
Moreover, attendees could see the variety of public services offered. The EXPO was an immersive experience showcasing work across the different public service sectors.
Engaging stands and demos, spontaneous workshops, and interactive activities were also organised. The focus was on the latest trends, technologies, and methodologies in Public Administration.
The College will also hold two open-day events on 21 June 2024 at 5 pm at MCAST’s Main Campus in Paola and 23 June 2024 at 5 pm at MCAST’s Mosta Campus for prospective students and their parents. Individuals interested in attending these events can gain more information via this link.
