The Malta College of Arts, Science, and Technology (MCAST) together with its commercial arm MCAST Gateway to the Industry (MG2I), have signed an MoU with Guangxi University of Science and Technology (GXUST) to resume the collaboration between both institutions post-pandemic.
MCAST officials including College Deputy Principal for Business Development and Communications Mr Stephen Vella visited Guangxi University of Science and Technology (GXUST) in China this April. MCAST delegates were welcomed by Vice President Xu Wubin.
The collaboration between both institutions commenced in 2019, when the College welcomed a group of 30 students from GXUST for a period of two weeks on a specialised short term study programme, focusing on nursing and IT.
Speaking about future collaborations with international Universities and their importance MCAST Deputy Principal Mr Stephen Vella said, “This was a very successful visit and we expect a lot of collaborations with Chinese universities during the coming months and years.”
This renewed collaborative agreement promotes staff and student mobility, joint research, short term study opportunities and joint programmes.
