The Malta College of Arts, Science and Technology (MCAST) participated in the Public Service Expo 2023 from 10 to 12 May. The Expo brought together all Public Administration under one roof. The MCAST information booth was hosted on the Ministry for Education, Sport, Youth, Research and Innovation stand. On 12 May, around 4,000 students visited the Expo.
The event over three days was an opportunity for MCAST to share information about digital innovation initiatives at the College. Innovation is a pivotal driver for the College to reach c its strategic objectives. It supports MCAST in its aim to enhance the student learning process and advance in new directions and with new methodologies. MCAST showcased its robotics and engineering projects, staff and lecturers explained to visitors the work done by the College in this sector. The showcase included the Institute for Engineering and Transport Alpha Beetle robot, which won the Robotics international competition in 2022.
This year’s Expo was an opportunity for the public to see the variety of services offered. The EXPO was an immersive experience to showcase work across the different public service sectors.
It was also a chance for public service employees to network with peers, connect with industry leaders, and gain valuable knowledge that helps them drive change and achieve their goals.
Engaging stands and demos, spontaneous workshops, and interactive activities were also organised throughout the three days. The focus was on the latest trends, technologies, and methodologies in Public Administration.
