Malta’s Prime Minister Robert Abela visited the Malta College of Arts, Science, and Technology (MCAST). College representatives greeted and welcomed the Prime Minister on campus in Paola.
Students currently following courses at the College met and spoke with the Prime Minister.
During his visit, the Prime Minister toured the MCAST campus in Paola, including the newly inaugurated Centre for Maritime Studies (CMS) within the Institute of Engineering and Transport (IET). The Prime Minister was able to see the state-of-the-art facilities used by students while following maritime courses at MCAST at this Centre.
The Prime Minister also toured the workshops in which the training to prepare future tradesman working in the areas of metal fabrication, electrical technology, welding, and HVAC occurs.
Moreover, College senior management officials showed the Prime Minister the ongoing works on the new and modernized Institute of Information and Communication Technology (IICT) building.
The new IICT building will house the College’s Institute of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and aims to provide students and staff with an avantgarde learning ambient and equipment.
