A fire broke out at the Malta College of Arts, Science, and Technology (MCAST). The fire which ignited from an electrical switchboard at the Institute of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has been controlled.
MCAST staff quickly reported on the scene and helped in limiting the spread of the fire. During these emergency operations, all College procedures were followed.
A team from the Civil Protection Unit and paramedics quickly arrived at MCAST, put out the fire, and provided assistance to everyone.
No students or lecturers in the building suffered any injuries. A team of nurses made sure that no MCAST students or personnel were affected because of the fire.
